Club Championship

There were two 2nd Round Club Championship matches played this evening. Ernie caused another upset by beating Danny Griffiths and has now taken one and a half points from his first two matches against two of the top four graded players in the tournament. Ray Hyde beat Mike Smith in another good game where Mike sacrificed pawns for an attack but, unfortunately, fell short in the end. There are still three 2nd Round matches outstanding which, hopefully, will all get played next week.
