'A' Team Within Touching Distance Of Division 2 Championship

Two great results at Cheddleton last night have left the 'A' team within touching distance of the Division 2 Championship, needing only 3 points from our final 3 matches to clinch the title. A 4-1 win at Cheddleton 'C', plus a surprise defeat for Cheddleton 'B', our nearest rivals, puts us in pole position.

I was first to finish last night with my usual draw. I was a pawn up on board 3 but my opponent managed to get a draw by repetition. Grenville then put us in the lead with a win on board 5, closely followed by a draw for Petru on board 1 and a good win for Glyn on board 2.
