There is now a link at the top of the page to the archived Fenton website. This was the site that was in use between 2004 and 2008, before the current website was born. It is interesting to see how websites have moved on since then, with the old site looking like nothing more than pages of texts, with very few colours or graphics of any description. However, there is lots of historical data that has been preserved, with news, results and match score cards for the period. One of the things it makes reference to is the first playing of the South Potteries Chess Challenge Cup against Meir, or Creda as they were known at the time, on the 20th September 2004. Unfortunately it does not contain the score card and that remains the only missing score card to date in the history of the competition.
