'A' Team Beaten At Cheddleton

The unavailability of 2 of our top 3 boards proved to be an insurmountable hurdle at Cheddleton 'A' on Friday evening and, unsurpisingly given the 669 rating difference, we were beaten 2.5 - 1.5. However, we put up a strong fight and drew on all of the top 3 boards, courtesy of Alex and the two Steves. Lea, drafted in at the last minute from the 'C' team, was holding his own on board 4, and was actually a pawn up at one point. We should be at more or less full strength for our next 'A' team fixture on Tuesday evening, when we entertain Alsager 'A' who, on paper, are by far the strongest team in the Division.
